SKIPPER'S TRAINING WEEK
Maximum 5 students to 1 instructor, and you will never be asked to share a cabin with a complete stranger.
Brush up your skills in preparation for the summer, whilst adding 150-200 miles to your log.
Our training week is half way between a mile builder and a course week. We do more miles than we would during a course week whilst exploring the Sporades islands and we have more time to spend on training than we ordinarily would during a Mile Builder.
Thessalia School of Sailing runs the 5 day course from Saturday to Thursday, with Friday as a bonus day to practice your new skills. You will arrive in Volos on Saturday and we will leave the harbour as soon as everyone is aboard. We will arrive back in Volos on Friday lunchtime, leaving you free to travel home on Friday or Saturday.
Course content: Everyone who wants to, will have the chance to be skipper for at least 1 day.
We will practice all types of mooring and boat control in harbours and all other aspects of sailing and safety.
Duration: 6 days
Dates for 2020: (Alternate dates may be available on request)
Required pre-course experience: No previous experience is required for this training week. It can even be used as a Competent Crew course week.
